Located some 500kms from Sydney and 45kms north-west of Coonabarabran, Camp Cypress is situated on 75 hectares of open woodland at the Baradine Showground and old racecourse,close to town services.

Attractions include:      Bird watching - with many bird varieties in the area to enjoy.     Enjoy an evening under the stars with a local astronomer.   Sculptures in the Scrub at Dandry gorge - short drive away.     Salt Caves with the new viewing tower over the Pilliga Scrub.     Sandstone Caves showing the beautiful weathering rocks.       Day trip to the famous opal mining town of Lightning Ridge.         Experience the Pilliga Hot Artesian Bore Baths - hour's drive   Or visit the rugged Warrumbungle Ranges.

Our State Forest issues permits for mountain biking, motorcross, 4WDing, and recreational shooting. These permits can be obtained in Baradine at the State Forest Administration Centre (cnr Lachlan & Darling Streets).

Baradine has a 
wonderful Pilliga Forest Discovery Centre, including a Tourist Information Centre, in Wellington Street; with brochures and local knowledge of the Pilliga Scrub and our  district. For more information on Baradine and the surrounding district, visit the official website of the Warrumbungle Region.
